Wow, I came across this site about Combat. I liked this series when it first aired. Now it is on the Encore action channel on cable playing on the weekdays in the morning. Here is the link to Combat.
A little trivia.
Rick Jason as Lieutenant Hanley was supposed to carry a Tommy gun during the series as the most senior officers were entitled to in the service. He knew about firearms and asked the directors if he could carry a much lighter rifle. the directors agreed and Vic Morrow as Sergeant Saunders had to carry the Tommy gun. The weight difference was about 3 lbs for the rifle vrs. 10 lbs. Vic Morrow had complained about lugging the heavy Tommy gun through the series so they made him a wooden "stand in" gun which was much lighter to carry. I watch for it but haven't noticed it yet in the series.
