The stooges are frustrated with their restaurant business, the Flounder Inn, and are persuaded into trading it for a race horse known as Thunderbolt. This is a can't lose deal they believe, until they take ownership of the horse which looks one step away from a glue factory. However, Curly stumbles onto a solution by feeding Thunderbolt spicy, hot pepperinos that make him super fast as he seeks out the nearest water source to cool down. They enter him in a big race and actually come out winners for once in the exciting finale.
Some pretty funny scenes in this one. Curly cracks me up in the beginning with his constant munching on salted peanuts which leads to the pepperino tie-in. Moe has a tough time with swinging doors.
Larry has some really funny bits like when Moe shoves pepperinos in his mouth. He grabs a bottle to guzzle, but quickly spits it out yelling, "
It's kerosene!!!" Another highlight is when Larry gets a pitchfork in his butt, and Curly gets continually whacked by the end of it by Moe who's attempting to pull it out. Plus, Moe and Curly just look so funny on that motorcycle!
All in all, a very fun short.
