Boris Karloff is very good in this Poverty Row film from Monogram. He plays a small town doctor who's looking to cure paralysis, but unfortunately, he is forced to take drastic measures to succeed. The story takes an interesting turn when the title creature escapes from a traveling circus and begins to terrorize the town.
This little movie is very rewatchable. There's something about the rural setting and Boris' portrayal that keep me coming back. Plus, we get get a cool ape performance from Ray "Crash' Corrigan. One of my favorite Monograms.
